Little Hack To Keep Your Gear Clean

As the days get shorter and the weather gets well… crappier we all have the same problems: Do I really want to go running in the mud? Is it worth dirtying my clothes just for one work out?

Well my friends let these hacks be the end of your hesitations!

  1. Smelly shoes!

No one is exempt to this problem! Have you just been on a run or have played a sport and dread the smell that is going to come out of those smelly shoes?
Take your shoes off and pour a bit of baking soda inside your shoes… it will soak up the smell in no time!

Or another alternative is to use deodorant! Call me crazy but it works!
Before going running or any sort of workout, spray your shoes with “Sanex micro talc anti-perspirant” deodorant (it’s the only one that works haha!)

And goodbye smelly shoes

  1. Dirt stuck on your shoes

Do you remember your mum yelling at you when you get into the house and leave muddy footprints on the floor? And then the next day you pick your shoes up and they are so grubby you just want to leave them there and maybe they will miraculously clean themselves.

Well they don’t clean themselves… but it’s super easy to clean!

Use a nail file to get everything off in no time. If you don’t own a nail file, use an old toothbrush; it works just as well.

  1. Old looking trainer.

You think your trainers will never look the same? Too old you think? Ha! Now that you are a student you are going to have to man up and find a solution because buying a new pair sometimes just isn’t the best for your bank account.

So, take a mixing bowl, pour in baking soda and laundry detergent. Mix both components until it is no longer pasty.
Take a toothbrush and scrub away…

See the results for yourself!

  1. Sweat patch!
Ok some people admittedly get it worse than other, but everyone sweats. No matter what they claim.

Doing any sports competitively or intensively will leave that ugly sweat patch on your t-shirt… but its ok! We have a solution!

If your t-shirt is old and is now getting a permanent sweat patch it is time for you to fix it with one simple step.
Poor lemon juice on it before shoving it into the wash and when you take it out you should notice a visible difference. Who said it was hard?!

Now that you know how to keep your gear clean , keep active during the winter and don’t worry about anything.
